Ritver 2K Topcoat Gloss for Fiberglass is a high quality polyurethane top finish based on an acrylic resin cured with aliphatic isocyanate. The product exhibits excellent build, very good opacity and outstanding resistance to ultra violet light. It is especially recommended for systems to meet the harsh climatic conditions of the Gulf and other regions.

A good surface preparation and following the method statement / recommended system procedure of Ritver is an ideal recommendation for the application of Ritver 2K Topcoat
Gloss for Fiberglass.

Exclusions for successful application include perpetually wet surfaces and also large cavities on wood, metal and concrete surfaces.
For Metals:
Achieve a good and clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning & drying. A rust free surface should be achieved by good sweep blast or a wire brush. In case of automobile
substrates where a high degree of surface is to be maintained the use of Ritver Degreasing Solvent is recommended. The proceed with the recommended system.
For wood:
Substrates that are generally used are clear wood natural, veneered or lightly stained. It is advised to use Ritver PU Primer after sanding with sanding paper about 120-150 type. Fill
all the grains with a good liberal coat. Be sure that no sanding residues (or other) are present on substrate before applying the topcoat finish. Proceed with Ritver 2K Topcoat Gloss for Fiberglass after this to the desired coverage required.
For Plaster, Masonry & Concrete:
Achieve a good and clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning & drying. A laitance free surface should be achieved by good sweep blast or a wire brush.

Spray gun: for spray application we suggest a normal spray gun with 1.8 mm nozzle at 3-4 atm/bar of pressure. It can be used even airless or air-mix spray guns.
Curtain Coater: the most important thing is to keep controlled the starting viscosity, adding PU thinner to compensate the evaporation of solvents.
Subsequent treatments: After drying this product does not need any subsequent treatments.
Adequate ventilation is an ideal situation as it helps in drying and the good application itself. Avoid high humid conditions i..e., >95% when condensation is likely to interfere and also when the surface temperature is at least 3°C above dew point.
One can add 20 – 30% of Ritver PU Thinner for ease of application. In hot condition please take advice from Ritver technical services department for the correct thinner combination.
Caution: Over diluting would result in sag and run downs.

Under dry and cool condition, Storage stability can be sound up to 18 months in original sealed containers.
HANDLING
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill. In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point: Contains organic solvents and is app 21°C.
Caution: It is strongly advised not to keep open half used drums as it forms a skin on the top layer.

Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapour or spray.

FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water immediately and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or approved Industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
NOTE
This product can be used even as non-yellowing fixative on lacquer manufactured, treated with ageing products; be sure of the compatibility with the products used in the varnishing cycle.
