Bluish accelerator for polyester, it is a cobalt base.

N.B: Do not mix accelerator and catalyst directly. The mixture may explose.

N.B: The drying time of this product is strongly influenced by the environmental temperature. In particular
with temperature below 15°C the drying time is longer.

On wooden substrates with large pore (oak, mohagany, hard wood in general) before applying the polyester basecoat it is suggested the application of a Isolant as PI282. For a better final result and to avoid any inconvenient, we suggest the appli- cation of the same sealer even on MDF.

By spray using normal spray gun with 2-2.5 mm nozzle at 3-4 atm/bar, or with mixing spraying pumps. In the first case prepare the polyester at the moment of use, adding the accel- erator and, after blending, the hardener and the thinner. In the second case two different blends must be prepared; with double percentage of additives: blend with accelerator and thinner and blend with hardener and
thinner.
Apply two or more coats according to the desired covering (max. 4 coats), considering that before applying the following coats, it is necessary to wait until the previous one has reached the status of “gel”.

After drying and sanding, the polyester basecoat can be re-coated with transparent top-finishes products matt or glossy, polyurethane or polyester based.

Note
Do not use this product on substrate that have to be exposed to atmospheric agents. Control the humidity of the substrates: must be below than 15%; remember that the sealer do not insulate from the humidity. Control (always) the compatibility of the eventually stains used. It is good to apply after the stain and before the polyester a proper polyurethane sealer as PI282. Do not apply the polyester when the climate is too cold (T<10°C) or too hot (T>30°C). Do not apply big thickness when it is not necessary and do not apply more than 4 coats respecting the application rate suggested (to avoid bad transparency and blooming inconvenient).

If the drum is hermetically closed and well stored at 25°C, the product and the additives has 6 months of shelf-life.
