Acrilic Mother of pearl

Mother of Pearl is a two component based on acrylic resin and selected pearlescent pigment, with the addition of special additive that provide a hammer – like finish suitable to perform an attractive looking effect. It has a natural, pearl transparent that gives coloristic effect according to the color of the substrate.

It is recommended for all type of woodworks, kitchens, internal doors and frames, head boards and drawers.
Area to use: Interior

It can be used on veneer substrate, solid wood, and MDF which were treated with pigmented polyurethane or polyester basecoats. Apply two or more coats according to the desired covering.
After drying, sand the basecoat with at least 400 type sanding paper.
Ensure that no residues on the substrate before application of topcoat.

CATALYST

Pot Life 6hrs. @ 25°C
Stir product well with a flat paddle. Add the correct quantity of hardener and stir till homogeneous. Thin to required viscosity. For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.
DILUTION
Spraying:
Dilute with PU thinner [TP292] at 20-30%.
In case of hot and humid climate, it is necessary to add 5 % of PU retardant thinner [TP222].

Depends on the finishes required but in general an appropriate rate is 100 gr / sq. m. The number of coats depends on the surface preparation the porosity of the substrate, and the finish required.
Following Treatments
Spray gun:
Use spray gun with a 1.8 – 2.0 mm. nozzle at 3-4 atm/bar.
After drying this product does not need any particular subsequent treatment.
Anyway, it is possible to apply on top of MOTHER OF PEARL (after 2 hrs. without sanding) an acrylic top finish glossy (to increase the brightness) or matt (for a matt effect).

Disposal:
As per the guidance and legislations of the local authority e.g., by controlled landfill.
In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.

Available in 5Ltr. 25Ltr.
Store in a cool and well ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight. 18 months in unopened container, stored in a cool and dry condition at 25°C.

Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapor or spray. MSDS is available on request for the safe handling of this product.
FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water immediately and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or approved.
Industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
