Ritver Blazebar Fire Retardant Matt Emulsion is a water based emulsion paint formulated with advanced raw materials that provide a non-flaming paint surface when exposed to extreme heat. Unlike ordinary acrylic based systems, this product does not aid in the propagation of fire by extinguishing itself when exposed to flame. It is an effective fire retardant wall paint. The product can be used as a primer when diluted to penetrate the substrate, and then as a luxury matt finish topcoat in interior and exterior applications. PW3304 is certified by Thomas BellWright following the Multi-coat Interior Finish Systems for Reaction to Fire performance according to test standard ASTM E84-19a and approved by Dubai Civil
Defense under license no. LMTNA0000135842-2019.

PW3304 is considered to be entirely hygienic, free from hazardous chemicals and does not pose a significant risk and danger to humans and the environment due to its VOC of 9.8 g/L following Test Method USEPA 24 conducted by Wimpey Laboratories (Third Party Laboratory)

Substrates: Concrete, Metal, Wood
Area of Use: Exterior & Interior

Concrete
Always ensure that the surface to be painted must be free of dirt oil and grease. New concrete should be cured for
at least 28 days before application. Old painted surfaces should be removed of old paints and primed with Blazebar Matt
Emulsion. Ensure that all old paints are removed.

Metal
Bare metal should be cleaned according to SSPC SP2 (Handtool Cleaning) or SSPC SP3 (Power Tool Cleaning) and
primed with a suitable primer. Ensure primer is fully cured before application of Blazebar Matt Emulsion.

Wood
If applying over coated wood, ensure that the coating is compatible with Blazebar Matt Emulsion.

NOTE: For any Flame Retardant system to be successful, it is imperative that all previous coatings are stable and firmly adhering to the substrate.

The recommended method of application is by Airless Spray or HVLP sprayer. Roller and Brush can also be used in small areas.

Application:
Mix the product property before application. Thin down with 30% water and apply as the primer. Apply to a total dry film thickness of 80microns.

Airless Spray
Depending on the area to be covered, select the most suitable fan type, normally 4 to 8 inches and a nozzle orifice of 0.021 to 0.027 of an inch. Do not apply more than 100 microns wet at a time or the product will sag and crack. Wait until the first coat is dried before commencing with the next coat. Build the dry film thickness to 80 microns minimum by applying multiple coats.

Roller/Brush
Apply the product using a fine haired paint roller or brush, the one usually used for Emulsion Paints. Apply multiple coats to build the recommended DFT.
