Ceramic Paint Clear (Cat @100% CP067)

Special effect two components ceramic paint based on special solution and modified alkyd resins with selected fillers. It is developed to give a dramatic cracking effect to the surface and displays a very unique and antique design.

It is mainly for interior use for furnitures in general, cabinet, drawers, picture frames, chairs and turned pieces.
Area to use: Interior

All timber species must be fully aged with a moisture content of less than 15%. Surface must be dry, clean and free from contaminations. Natural oil or gum must be removed by solvent cleaning.
It can be used on veneer substrate, solid wood, and MDF which were treated with special primer. Apply two or more coats according to the desired covering.

CATALYST

Pot Life 4 hrs. @ 25°C
Stir product well with a flat paddle. Add the correct quantity of hardener and stir till homogeneous. Thin to required viscosity. For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.
Dilution
Spraying:
Dilute with PU thinner TP292 at 30%.
In case of hot and humid climate, it is necessary to add 5 % of PU retardant thinner TP222.

Depends on the finishes required but in general an appropriate rate is 130 gr / sq. m. The number of coats depends on the surface preparation the porosity of the substrate, and the finish required.
Following Treatments
After one hour of the application of primer (special primer), we apply ceramic paint in a single stroke process. The greater the amount of ceramic paint, the bigger the cracking effect is.
Remark: By varying the color of primer and by applying ceramic clear so many different color and finish can be achieved.

Spray gun:
Use spray gun with a 1.8 – 2.0 mm. nozzle at 3-4 atm/bar. It can be applied by air mix spray application. In the last case of preliminary test, for spray application the ideal reduction is 20-30%, but as much as the amount of thinner is higher as much as the size of crackle is
smaller ( it is possible to go up 100% dilution)

Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with [TC010] Tool Cleaning.

Available in 5Ltr, 25Ltr.
Store in a cool and well ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight. 18 months in unopened container, stored in a cool and dry condition at 25°C.

This material is flammable and must not be exposed to naked flames.
Use only in well ventilated areas. In case of insufficient ventilation during application wear suitable respiratory equipment. Do not breathe vapor / spray. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of sweet water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin,wash immediately with soap and water or a recognized skin cleanser.
Keep away from sources of ignition. No Smoking. Keep out of reach of children.
