Epoxy Putty Solvent Base

Ritver Epoxy Putty Solvent Base is a High build stiff compound based on a selected epoxy resin and forms a two component product with a suitable catalyst. It forms a near rock hard product upon curing and is used to stop to fill cracks, indentations, blow holes, holes resulting out of construction flaws and damages due to mechanical abuse. By virtue of the epoxy resin composition it exhibits excellent resistance to mild acids, bases and other chemicals. It is very easy to apply and can accept top coats for cosmetic as well as protective nature.

It is used to fill blow holes, construction flaws and other for severe industrial floors, car parking areas and heavy traffic with moderate load accompanied with good chemical and hot water resistance. It is recommended in animal rooms, poultry farms, food process units, beverages plants, and chemical industries. The product after curing can be abraded.

A good surface preparation and following the method statement / recommended system procedure of Ritver is an ideal recommendation for the application of Ritver Epoxy Putty Solvent Base.
For Concrete and related surfaces:
Ensure that the surface is sound. Remove laitance by thorough wire brushing, acid etching or sweep blasting. Blowholes and other defects should be filled with suitable filler. Ritver Epoxy Floor Coating or other top coats may be applied with a Ritver Epoxy Primer or a diluted
version of the Ritver Epoxy Floor Coating in case of floor coating applications.
Exclusions for successful application include perpetually wet surfaces and also large cavities on metal and concrete surfaces.

Adequate ventilation is an ideal situation as it helps in drying and the good application itself.
Avoid high humid conditions i.e., >95% when condensation is likely to interfere and also when the surface temperature is at least 3°C above dew point.
Mix Part A and B in the recommended ratio thoroughly until uniform taking care that no excess air bubbles are formed.Trowel or Spatula: This is the recommended method of application and the material can be sanded, if necessary. Press firmly in to indentations and level off whilst the putty is workable & pliable. This will minimize any further rubbing down that may be necessary. If rubbing down is required, it should commence 6-8 hours after application using a fine Grade 240 sand paper.
Do not allow the If the stopper/putty is allowed to cure beyond 12 hours, it will become difficult to rubdown. The product is supplied as a two pack material and should be mixed thoroughly just prior to application.One can use Ritver Epoxy thinner to clean the tools after the usage and is strongly recommended to do before drying.
Caution: Do not over thin it as there would be obvious shrinkage and difficulty in application.

Under dry and cool condition, Storage stability can be sound up to 18 months in original sealed containers. In no way should the component A & component B be mixed and kept.
HANDLING
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill.
In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains,sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point: Not Applicable.

Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls,goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream. Other industrial practices are applicable.
Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapour or spray.

FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water immediately and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or approved Industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
