Ritver Epoxy Tankguard is a two component amine adduct cured epoxy novolac coating. The product exhibits excellent adhesion, very good chemical, water and elevated temperature resistance up to 160oC.
This product is recommended as internal coating for pipelines, tanks use for storage and transport of water, brine, crude oil, vegetable oil etc.

All surfaces must be free of grease, dirt and oil before blast cleaning to near white metal according to SSPC SP-10 or SSI-SA2.5.

The product comes in two different containers containing the base and hardener. Ensure that all the contents of the cans are all mixed together.
Mixing Ratio: 5: 1 by volume
Mixing:
Power mix the base portion until a homogeneous mix is obtained. Slowly add the hardener and continue mixing for 5 minutes.
This product can be applied as it is but in conditions where the viscosity becomes thick like during
cold seasons, add appropriate Epoxy Thinner up to 5 percent.
Application:
The recommended method of application is by airless spray with a minimum pump ratio of 30:1.
Tip size of 0.021 to 0.025 will provide good spray pattern.
In touch up and hard to reach areas, brush can be used.

Under dry and cool condition, Storage stability can be sound up to 18 months in original sealed containers. This material is heat reactive so ensure that the temperature in the storage area does not exceed 40oC or the material will gel pre maturely.
HANDLING
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill. In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point: 27oC and contains mixed solvents.
Caution: It is strongly advised not to keep open half used drums as it forms a skin on the top layer.

Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream. Other industrial practices are applicable.
Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapour or spray.

FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water immediately and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or approved Industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
