Ritver Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer is a fast drying polyamide cured, zinc phosphate pigmented Epoxy Primer based on high molecular weight epoxy resin. The product is particularly recommended for new construction where fast drying and overcoating are required. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel used in atmospheric environments.
Recommended for structural steel exposed to corrosive environments.
Substrate: Carbon Steel, GI, Concrete and Aluminum
Surface should be clean and free of any surface contaminants like loose rust, oil grease and any other material that might affect the adhesion of the product. Surface should be prepared as per SSPC SP10 or ISO 8501-1 SA 2.5.
The product is supplied in seperate containers (Base and Hardener) Pour all the content of the Hardener component into the base and mix properly preferably using a jiffy mixer, until the product is completely homgenuous. Add the appropriate thinner depending on the application method used, usually 5 to 15 percent. Allow the material to stand for 20 minutes for induction and to allow the bubbles to float and break on the surface.
Always wear recommended PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when applying this material.
Always ensure that there is adequate ventilation during application not only for health and safety reason but also to aid in solvent evaporation and drying. Avoid high humid conditions i.e., >95% when condensation is likely to interfere and also when the surface temperature is at least 3°c above dew point.
Application Methods:
Spray : Airless Spray
Brush : Use for stripe coating and hard to spray areas.
Roller : Can be used in areas where spray mists and vapours is a problem Like in confined and enclosed spaces.
Application temperature is 10 to 50 degree celsius.
The minimum temperature required for satisfactory drying is 10C. Never apply the product in adverse weather conditions and the temperature must be at least 3C above dew point.

Under dry and cool condition, Storage stability can be sound up to 18 months in original sealed containers. In no way should the component A & component B be mixed and kept.
HANDLING
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill. In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point: 27°C and contains organic solvent
Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream. Other industrial practices are applicable. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapor or spray.

FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water immediately and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or approved industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
