RITVER Gypsum Joint Compound Putty is specially designed water based composite base on an acrylic copolymer and suitable pigments, filler with good alkali resistance. It is primarily used on gypsum boards, spray plasters, and other cementitious compositions, to give an even surface for subsequent painting after filling surface irregularities, construction flaws, hairline surface cracks & indentations. It has got sufficient plasticizing properties to make it suitable for a reasonably thick application which will not peel off or flake after drying.

A good surface preparation and following the method statement / recommended system procedure of RITVER is an ideal recommendation for the application of RITVER Gypsum Joint Compound Putty.

For Gypsum, Spray Plaster & Masonry:
Achieve a good and clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning & drying. A laitance free surface should be achieved by good sweep blast or a wire brush. Before applying the RITVER Gypsum Joint Compound Putty apply one coat of RITVER PVA Primer Sealer and allow drying.

For usage on Wood & Timber:
Achieve a good and clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning & drying treatment with RITVER Wood Preservative Compound is advisable. Start off with good coat of RITVER Wood Primer and allow to dry well and apply required coats of RITVER Gypsum Joint Compound Putty Exclusions for successful application include perpetually wet surfaces and also large cavities on wooden surfaces.

Adequate ventilation is an ideal situation as it helps in drying and the good application itself. Avoid high humid conditions i.e., >95% when condensation is likely to interfere and also when the surface temperature is at least 3°C above dew point. One can add 5 to 10% of sweet water for ease of application depending on the suitability of application. One should apply with a putty knife or a board bladed knife and spread it evenly on the surface to smoothen. After application light sanding may done to remove the imperfections.

HANDLING
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill. In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point: Not applicable

Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapors or spray. MSDS is available on request for the safe handling of this product.

FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water immediately and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or approved Industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
