Ritver Intumescent Paints is a single component solvent based modified acrylic thin film intumescent coating specially designed as a passive fire protection for structural steel against cellulosic fires. The product can be top coated with fire retardant water based coating to give the desired aesthetic look.

Substrates: Suitably primed carbon steel.
Area of Use: Interior and exterior in mildly corrosive environments.

Always ensure that the surface to be painted must be free of dirt, oil and grease. All primers to be coated upon must be completely dried and cured before application of Intumescent Paints.

Adequate ventilation should always be observed when applying Intumescent Paints as this is a solvent based product. This will ensure proper drying of the material. Never apply this product in adverseweather conditions such as when the temperature is below 5oC or when the humidity level is above 90%. The surface temperature should always be kept at not less than 3 degree above dew point. In confined spaces constant purging of air during application and drying is necessary to eliminate solvent vapors for reason of health and safety and to assist solvent evaporation.

The recommended method of application is by airless spray.
For hard to reach areas, brush can be used.
Clean equipment with PT1081XS before they completely dry.

Under dry and cool condition, Storage stability can be sound up to 18 months in original sealed containers.
HANDLING
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill. In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point: 27oC.
Caution: It is strongly advised not to keep open half used drums as it forms a skin on the top layer

Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls,
goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream. Other industrial practices are applicable.
Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not
breathe vapour or spray.
MSDS is available on request for the safe handling of this product.
FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water immediately and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or approved Industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
