PW 1052_Mold Resistant Primer

Ritver Mold Resistant Primer is a premium-grade acrylic-copolymer primer designed for surfaces previously infested with mold and mildew. The product effectively prevents mold spores from resurfacing. It can also be used as a mold-resistant primer for both interior and exterior emulsion painting systems.

Substrates: Concrete, plaster, masonry, gypsum.
Area of Use: Interior and exterior.

A good surface preparation and adhering to the method statement or recommended system procedure of Ritver is strongly recommended for the application of Ritver Mold Resistant Primer.

For Plaster, Masonry & Concrete:
Ensure a clean surface by removing all contaminants and loose particles through cleaning and drying.
A laitance-free surface should be achieved by sweep blasting or using a wire brush.
Water washing under pressure is recommended.
Apply the Ritver Mold Resistant Primer and allow it to dry as per the data sheet. Apply a second coat if needed for full coverage.

For Old and Painted Surfaces:
For old surfaces previously infested with mold and mildew, wash the surface by thoroughly scrubbing with a sponge or brush.
Then rinse the surface with a fungicidal wash solution.
Allow the surface to completely dry, then proceed to apply Ritver Mold Resistant Primer.

Adequate ventilation is mandatory as it helps in drying and ensures proper application.
Avoid high humidity conditions (i.e., >95%) when condensation is likely to interfere, and ensure the surface temperature is at least 3°C above the dew point.
You can add 5–10% clean (sweet) water for ease of application, depending on the suitability of the method.

1. Brush: Recommended especially to avoid runs and sags caused by excess material.
2. Roller: Apply an even coat, spreading uniformly and taking care to avoid runs.

Under dry and cool condition, storage stability can be sound up to 18 months in original sealed containers.

HANDLING
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill.
In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point: Not applicable

Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, a dust mask, and gloves.
Use a barrier cream. Standard industrial practices apply.
Ensure adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied.
Do not breathe vapors or spray.

FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with plenty of clean water and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water or an approved industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Move to fresh air, loosen collar, and keep the patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
