NC Putty Clear

A High viscosity, quick drying clear Nitrocellulose Putty, exhibits very good smooth filling with easy sanding properties containing special additives that provide excellent adhesion properties and high solid contents that ensure excellent filling capacity on porous wooden substrates.

Ideal for use on all types of solid wood, veneers, natural or stained. This type of putty is designed especially for filling cracks, imperfections, and similar uneven surfaces of wood.

All timber species must be fully aged with a moisture content of less than 15%. The surface must be dry, clean and free from contaminations. Natural oil or gum must be removed by solvent cleaning.
To obtain optimum surface finish sand the wood properly in the same direction of the wood grain, utilize sanding paper No. [120] , to achieve perfection of substrate till reaching between coats is essential, as is adequate sanding and removal of dust prior to application of first coat.

Stir well before use. You can apply [140] NC putty clear , utilizing Swedish putty knife , or if required spray application a dilution with NC thinner is required up-to 250%. For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.

Ready to use product.
No thinner is required in the normal course for ease of application.

Depends on the finishes required but in general an appropriate rate is 130 g / sq. m. Apply [NS 140] Ritver NC Putty – clear – followed by further sanding when dry. Repeat applications until all imperfections are removed. The number of coats depends on the surface preparation, the porosity of the substrates, and the finish required. Prior to application of final coat, it is recommended to apply one coat of Ritver NC Sanding Sealer, followed by further sanding will enhance the final finish coat appearance.

Cleaning
Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with [TC010] Tool Cleaning.
Caution
Do not use when humidity levels may cause surface condensation (maximum 85%), during rainy conditions or if temperatures are likely to fall below 5°C during application and drying. Protect from frost.

Available in 3.5Ltr, 18Ltr, 200Ltr.
Store in a cool and well ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight. Maximum 18 months in unopened container, stored in a cool and dry condition at 25°C.

This material is flammable and must not be exposed to naked flames.
Use only in well ventilated areas. In case of insufficient ventilation during application wear suitable respiratory equipment. Do not breathe vapor / spray. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of sweet water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a recognized skin cleanser. Keep away from sources of ignition. No Smoking. Keep out of reach of children.
