NC Sanding Sealer

Superior Grade high viscosity transparent Nitrocellulose sanding sealer, exhibits very good drying and filling with ease sanding properties, containing special additives that provide very good adhesion properties on porous wood. This ensures overcoat with a wide range of subsequent NC clear topcoats of various levels of sheen.

Ideal for use on all types of timber, e.g. chipboard, plywood, etc., especially where early sanding is required and speed of over coating is essential. For a quality finish, few coats of NC Sanding sealer after each coat will ensure good leveling of the final topcoat together with minimum numbers of coats and thickness.

All timber species must be fully aged with a moisture content of less than 15%. The surface must be dry, clean and free from contaminations. Natural oil or gum must be removed by solvent cleaning.
To obtain optimum surface finish sand the wood properly in the same direction of the wood grain, utilize sanding paper no. [120]. Then after the sealer is drying, utilize paper no.[220] to create smoothness to the substrate , then utilize paper no.[400 ] to achieve perfection of substrate till reaching between coats is essential as is adequate sanding and removal of dust prior to application of first coat.

Stir well before use. Apply by air spray, airless spray. For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.
Dilution
Utilize [TN190] NC Thinner depending on the application system used. In general 200-250% thinner is added to achieve an application viscosity. This is suitable for spraying application.
In case of hot climate and higher humidity add 3% of [TN122] NC retardant thinner.

Cleaning
Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with [TC010] Tool cleaning.
Caution
Do not use when humidity levels may cause surface condensation (maximum 85%), during rainy conditions or if temperatures are likely to fall below 5°C during application and drying. Protect from frost.

Available in 3.5Ltr, 18Ltr, 200Ltr.
Store in a cool and well ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight. Minimum one year in unopened container, stored in a cool and dry condition at 25°C.

This material is flammable and must not be exposed to naked flames.
Use only in well ventilated areas. In case of insufficient ventilation during application wear suitable respiratory equipment. Do not breathe vapor / spray.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of sweet water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a recognized skin cleanser. Keep away from sources of ignition. No Smoking. Keep out of reach of children.
