NC Sanding Sealer

A fast drying special sealer, based on alkyd – nitrocellulose combination. It has high filling properties, high transparency, and good sanding properties. Major uses for filling of wooden surfaces, for furniture in general, chairs turned pieces cabinets, doors. It is mainly suggested for open grain, where the number of coats to spray is taken in consideration.

Ideal for use on all types of timber, e.g. chipboard, plywood, etc…., especially where early sanding is required and speed of over coating is essential. For a quality finish, 1-2 coats max. Of NC Sanding sealer after each coat will ensure excellent leveling of the final topcoat with less thickness.

All timber species must be fully aged with a moisture content of less than 15%. The surface must be dry, clean and free from contaminations. Natural oil or gum must be removed by solvent cleaning.
To obtain optimum surface finish sand the wood properly in the same direction of the wood grain, utilize sanding paper No. [120]. Then after drying the sealer , utilize paper No.[220] to create smoothness to the substrate , then utilize paper No.[400 ] to achieve perfection of substrate till reaching between coats is essential, as is adequate sanding and removal of dust prior to application of first coat.

Stir well before use. Apply by air spray, airless spray. For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.
Dilution
Spraying: Dilute with TN190 NC thinner at 200% Curtain Coater: We advise to dilute with NC thinner TN190 up to 150%
In case of hot and humidity climate, add 3% of NC retardant thinner TN122

Depends on the finishes required but in general an appropriate rate is 120 g /sq.m per coat. The number of coats depends on the surface preparation the porosity of the substrate, and the finish required.

Cleaning
Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with [TC010] Tool cleaning.
Caution
Do not use when humidity levels may cause surface condensation (maximum 85%), during rainy conditions or if temperatures are likely to fall below 5°C during application and drying. Protect from frost.

Available in Usg and 5Usg,
Store in a cool and well ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight. Maximum of 18 months in unopened container, stored in a cool and dry condition at 25°C

This material is flammable and must not be exposed to naked flames.
Use only in well ventilated areas. In case of insufficient ventilation during application wear suitable respiratory equipment. Do not breathe vapor / spray.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of sweet water and seek medical advice.
In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a recognized skin cleanser.
Keep away from sources of ignition. No Smoking. Keep out of reach of children.
