RITVER FIBER POLYESTER PUTTY – PP8001SH is a fiber reinforced high-build polyester putty; specially formulated to offer excellent adhesion, strength and ease of application on fiber parts,metal and steel.

It is meant to fill deep dents, cracks, to repair deep scratches and restore structural integrity of damaged and/or uneven surfaces of automobiles. It can be applied over metal surfaces and glass fiber reinforced plastic.

The metal surface must be clean, dry and free from oil, dirt, and other contamination.

Note: Do not add more or less the stated amount of hardener as this can
cause a problem of bleaching/staining
APPLICATION Add 2-3% of hardener, mix thoroughly to avoid forming of air bubbles in the
mixture. Apply with a putty knife or broad bladed knife and spread it evenly on
the surface to smoothen. Leave to allow for slight shrinkage. Fill large holes in
steps, allowing previous fill to set. After application sand by water proof
sandpaper (120 grain type) intermittently with water soaking to remove the
imperfections, and for a better and smooth finish.
POT LIFE Working time of the mixture is 3 – 5 minutes at 25⁰C
DRYING TIME at 25⁰C Hard dry: 20 – 30 mins
Dry to sand: 30 – 60 mins
Temperature, humidity, air movement, film thickness, and the % of hardener all
affect the drying time.
MACHINE DRY SANDING The following grades of sanding papers and steps are recommended:
P80-P120 and finish with P180

Store in a cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight. Maximum 12 months in unopened container, stored in a cool and dry condition at 25°C.

Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill. In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Caution: It is strongly advised not to keep open half used drums as it forms a skin on the top layer.

This material is flammable and must not be exposed to naked flames.
Use only in well-ventilated areas. In case of insufficient ventilation during application wear suitable respiratory equipment. Do not breathe vapor. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of sweet water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a recognized skin cleanser. Keep away from sources of ignition. No Smoking. Keep out of reach of children.
