POLYESTER PUTTY – PP8000SH is a combination of a special unsaturated polyester resin with a selected quick setting for subsequent coats for the complete Ritver paints system. This product exhibits excellent sanding properties.
It is meant as a repair to fill cracks, joints and uneven surfaces of metal, steel and galvanized metals.
The surface must be clean, dry and free from oil, dirt, and other contamination. For steel work: We can use Epoxy, 2k primer or any other anti-corrosive primer.

APPLICATION | Add 2-3% of hardener, mix thoroughly and scrape Polyester Putty evenly. Apply with a putty knife or broad bladed knife and spread it evenly on the surface to smoothen. Leave to allow for slight shrinkage. Fill large holes in steps, allowing previous fill to set. After application sand by water proof sandpaper (120 grain type) intermittently with water soaking to remove the imperfections, and for a better and smooth finish |

APPLICATION RATE | 400 g/m2 (per coat) Note: The spread rate is directly dependent on the surface profile and also the type of undulations. |
DRYING TIME | Hard dry: 10-15 mins Dry to sand: 30-60 mins Temperature, humidity, air movement, film thickness, number of coats, and the % of hardener all affect the drying time. |
MACHINE/MANUAL DRY SANDING |
P100-P120 sanding paper is recommended. Finish with P180 |
Store in a cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight. Maximum 12 months in unopened container, stored in a cool and dry condition at 25°C.
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill. In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Caution: It is strongly advised not to keep open half used drums as it forms a skin on the top layer.
This material is flammable and must not be exposed to naked flames.
Use only in well-ventilated areas. In case of insufficient ventilation during application wear suitable respiratory equipment. Do not breathe vapor. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of sweet water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a recognized skin cleanser. Keep away from sources of ignition. No Smoking. Keep out of reach of children.
