Superior grade Three components polyester topcoat – white, based on unsaturated polyester resins, designed as ideal finishes to basecoat provides good reactivity, very good hardness [ to have a perfect polishing] and good elasticity. Successive brushing and polishing treatment is applicable to obtain a resistance and brightness surface.

It is indicated for vertical surfaces.
NB: Due to the typical rigidity of polyester we suggest to use for indoor furniture only.

All timber species must be fully aged with a moisture content of less than 15%. Surface must be dry, clean and free from contaminations. Natural oil or gum must be removed by solvent cleaning.
The application can be done directly on wooden substrate or on the same previously treated with polyurethane isolator [PI 280] when the wood contents substances have a bad influence on drying of polyester.

CATALYST

by weight by volume

Accelerator (CE031) @ 2% by volume and by weight
Pot Life 20 min. at 25°C
Stir product well with a flat paddle. Add the correct quantity of hardener and accelerator and stir till homogeneous. Thin to required viscosity. For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.
Dilution
NB: Do not mix accelerator and catalyst directly. The mixture may explode. Utilize [TE390] Polyester Thinner depending on the application system used. In general 10 -20% thinner is added to achieve an application viscosity of 18- 20 seconds Fc4. This is suitable for spraying.

Depends on the finishes required but in general an appropriate rate is 180 gr / sq.m. / coat. The number of coats depends on the surface preparation the porosity of the substrate, and the finish required.
Following Treatments
By spray gun: Utilizing 2-2.5 mm nozzle at 3-4 ATM/bar, or with airless spray.
For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.
Non – Absorbent supports 100 – 120 g/sq. m. is sufficient Absorbent Substrates 160 – 200 g/ sq. m can be applied.
In many cases the application of one coat, more or less, loaded is enough. If two coats is required, these can be applied in two ways. 1) Wet-on-Wet with 30 – 60 minutes between coats
2) Apply a second coat once the first coat is fully dry, with an intermediate sanding.

Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with [TC010] Tool Cleaning.
