Superior grade Three components High solid Pigmented polyester primer based on non-wax unsaturated polyester Resins with selected fillers, designed to provide excellent coverage, outstanding filling, and easy standability, endowed with very good flat and vertical applicability on wooden items.

Suitable for interior furniture that need a basecoat preparation with high solids products. It is recommended as basecoat in pigmented finishing systems, especially high gloss.

All timber species must be fully aged with a moisture content of less than 15%. Surface must be dry, clean and free from contaminations. Natural oil or gum must be removed by solvent cleaning.
To obtain optimum surface finish sand the wood properly in the same direction of the wood grain, utilize sanding paper no. [100]. before polyester basecoat application, it is strongly recommended to apply [PI280 or PI281] PU Isolant to prevent possible defects (lack of adhesion, bubbles, pin holes) caused by the incompatibility of the wood with unsaturated polyester. We suggest the application of the same isolant even on MDF.

Stir product well with a flat paddle. Add the correct quantity of accelerator and stir till homogeneous. Then add the correct amount of catalyst and stir till homogeneous. Thin to required viscosity. For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.
Dilution
NB: Do not mix accelerator and catalyst directly. The mixture may explode.
Utilize [TE390] Polyester Thinner depending on the application system used. In general 0 -10% thinner is added to achieve an application viscosity of 18- 20 seconds Fc4. This is suitable for spraying.

Depends on the finishes required but in general an appropriate rate is 180 gr / sq.m. / coat. The number of coats depends on the surface preparation the porosity of the substrate, and the finish required.
Following Treatments
By spray gun: Utilizing 2-2.5 mm nozzle at 3-4 ATM/bar, or 2K airless pump nozzle 14.
For details of spray equipment contact Ritver Technical Services Department.
Non – Absorbent supports 100 – 120 g/sq. m. is sufficient Absorbent Substrates 160 – 200 g/ sq. m can be applied.
If more coats are required, these can be applied in two ways. 1) Wet-on-Wet with 30 – 60 minutes between coats, the film must be gelled and still slightly tacky 2) Apply a second coat once the first coat is fully dry, with intermediate sanding.
