PU primer

White polyurethane basecoat based on polyfunctional resin and selected pigments. Endowed by an excellent sanding ability and a good hiding power, is primarily used for all kind of wood furniture sets, flat panels and molding.

Good sanding of wood surface with a sanding paper 100 grain is advisable before application of PB214.
On substrates very porous, we suggest to apply before the pigmented basecoat, one coat of PU transparent basecoat diluted at 50-60%. After 1-2 hrs. without sanding apply the pigmented basecoat.

Dillution
Spraying: Dilute with PU thinner or TP 291 at 25-30%. Curtain Coater: Dilute with PU thinner TP 291 at 20%.
NB: In winter we suggest TP 290 for faster drying and in hot climate we can use TP 292 to avoid bubbles and blooming.

You can apply the product as follows:
Spray gun: Use spray gun with nozzles 1.5-2 mm. at 3-4 atm/bar. Curtain: Apply the product ready to use, controlling the stability in machine. Apply 1, 2 o 3 coats, depending on the substrate

After drying and sanding, it is possible to apply a PU pigmented top finish glossy or matt.
To obtain a very good finish result, we advise to use our pigmented polyurethane matt and glossy finishing.
To increase adherence and covering, we suggest to sand (little sanding) between coats.

Available in 1 ltr, 5ltr, 25ltr. N.B: We fill 1kg per ltr.
If the drum is hermetically closed and well stored at 25°C, the product have 18 months of shelf life.
The hardeners have six months of shelf-life
