PU Topcoat Clear LOW VOC Solvent Base ( 5%-10%-30%-50%-Gloss)

Clear polyurethane matt finish endowed with very good covering, transparency, plasticity and hardness. Indicated to varnish furniture, doors, furnishing components.
Do not use for exterior. This material is following the DCL Certification No. CL 16020409. It has VOC of 397 g/L. (GBRS limit is max. 500 g/L), Heavy Metals: Cadmium and Chromium (GBRS limit<500 mg/kg), Arsenic, Mercury and Lead (GBRS limit<100 mg/kg, Formaldehyde ≤ mg/kg.

For interior use on all furnishings as wardrobes, closet, paneling, doors, windows, frame, and casting, etc. The overall characteristics such as extensibility, Matt effect equalization, transparency and resistance to polishing have been developed to the maximum which in turn enables the product to have almost unlimited possibilities in the furniture industry.

It can be used on transparent basecoats PU or polyester based one or more coats according to desired covering. Good sanding of basecoat is necessary before application of the top finish.

Dilution
Spraying: Dilute with PU thinner TP292 at 20-30%.
Curtain Coater: Dilute with PU thinner TP292 at 20%.
In case of hot and humid climate, add 5 -10% of PU retardant thinner TP222.

Depends on the finishes required but in general an appropriate rate is 130 gr / sq. m. The number of coats depends on the surface preparation the porosity of the substrate, and the finish required.
Following Treatments
By spray: Use spray gun with 1.8-2 mm. nozzles at 3-4 atm/bar. Air mix and airless pumps may also be used. In this last case do preliminary test. For spray application, reduce at 20-30% with PU thinner.
By curtain: The most important thing is to keep controlled the viscosity during the varnishing, adding some PU thinner to compensate the evaporation of solvents.

After drying this product, it does not need any subsequent treatment.
Note:
Apply the top finish on substrates well sanded and without any residues of sanding.

Available in 1 Ltr., 5Ltrs., 25Ltrs.
If the drum is hermetically closed and well stored at 25oC, the product has 18 months of shelf life. The hardener Have 6 months of shelf life.

This material is flammable and must not be exposed to naked flames.
Use only in well ventilated areas. In case of insufficient ventilation during application, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Do not breathe vapor / spray. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of sweet water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a recognized skin cleanser.
Keep away from sources of ignition. No Smoking. Keep out of reach of children.
