ELASTOCRYL 700 is a high solid content thixotropic liquid-applied, water based acrylic waterproof elastomeric with outstanding adhesion to various substrates.
ELASTOCRYL 700 is a permanently flexible membrane that can be re-enforced with fiber glass mesh for high tensile strength and toughness.
ELASTOCRYL 700 complies with ASTM C957-1998.

ELASTOCRYL 700 is intended to be used in areas where water dampening of surfaces is critical. It has the ability to uniformly cover the profile of textured substrates, forming a continuous membrane.
ELASTOCRYL 700 effectively covers existing hairline cracks, repaired areas and bridges hairline cracking caused by structure movement.
ELASTOCRYL 700 is ideal for waterproofing concrete roof, balconies, wood, glass, asbestos, tiles, metal surface and masonry building exteriors. Fiber re-enforcement will provide hard and tough flexible membrane.
ELASTOCRYL 700 also performs as an effective waterproofing membrane in concrete water storage tanks, retaining walls, swimming pools, kitchens and bathrooms.

  • One component liquid applied.
  • Moves with crack bridge > 3mm.
  • Adheres tenaciously to cement-based surfaces.
  • Non-toxic and safly to contact with drinking water.
  • Available in wide range of colors.
  • Hard wearing – durable.
  • High abrasion resistance.
  • Primerless.
  • Excellent UV resistance.
  • Applicable to apply on floor and walls.

All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust and other contaminants. A dry sponge should be used to remove water on wet surfaces. Treat oil or grease contamination with degreaser followed by water or steam cleaning.
New and unpainted surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry, fully cured, and free from dust, curing agents, form release agents, efflorescence, scale, or other foreign materials.
All cracks larger than hairline shall must be repaired with RENDACOAT FC cementitious concrete repair. Remove all unsound concrete. Patches shall be flush with the surrounding surface and shall match the texture of existing surfaces.
Angle filet and corners should be arranged by using RENDAGROUT HB and kept to fully cure before applying ELASTOCRYL 700.

ELASTOCRYL 700 is a single component. Remix and apply direct into the substrate

ELASTOCRYL 700 should be applied by roller or airless sprayer. A brush may also ubseed for touch-up and edging work or for areas unsuitable for spray application. Airless spraying and rolling are the most effective methods for obtaining a uniform film build.
ELASTOCRYL 700 is a single component material. It is necessary to thoroughly mix the container prior to application using a slow speed mixer.
ELASTOCRYL 700 has a rich thixotropic consistency. The addition of water reduces this thixotropic nature and decreases the ability to achieve heavy film builds with good vertical hold.
Always apply two coats in order to avoid pinholes. Allow 5 – 6 hours drying time inbetween coats. The coating is thixotropic rather than viscous and therefore breaks up easily in spray pattern. Due to its thixotropic nature, it is possible to build an appreciable thickness without sagging. Best results are obtained by first applying a primer coat of a thin film of diluted ELASTOCRYL 700 with equal size of water and two coats un-thinned. The second coat shall be applied in a direction perpendicular to the first coat after drying and preferably in a different color. Surfaces subject to continuous splashes or permanent contact with water shall be left to dry for at least 7 days before they are filled with water.
COVERAGE
Actual coverage may vary depending on the surface profile, porosity, method of application and job conditions. ELASTOCRYL 700 is applied at a rate of 14 – 16 m2/gallon at a thickness of 250 microns WFT per coat.
CLEANING
Tools and equipment must be cleaned immediately by using sweet water.
