PW 2905_Texture Profile (Graffio)

Ritver Texture Profile is a texture based system and provides a Render-cum finish appearance and can be coated on almost any fair face substrates such as plaster, concrete and any construction materials with an appropriate primer. In some case it can be given a longer life with an acrylic or a polyurethane coating of the desired colour on the top. It is based on a good recipe of a high quality acrylic emulsion in combination with good grades of pigments and aggregates of quartz and other weather resistant pigments. It gives the customer a good answer for a decorative plaster with an aesthetic look not compromising the desired protection. Texture Profile is formulated with necessary biocides and also resist alkaline hydrolysis and is well adaptive for tropical conditions. It is UV resistant and also forms a breathable coating which helps in movement of trapped moisture and air both ways from and to the surface.

Substrates: Concrete, plaster, masonry, gypsum, block work and timber.
Area of Use: Interiors & exterior with a textured finish.

A good surface preparation and following the method statement / recommended system procedure of Ritver is an ideal recommendation for the application of Texture Profile.

For Plaster, Masonry & Concrete:
Achieve a good and clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning & drying. A laitance free surface should be achieved by good sweep blast or a wire brush. Before applying the Texture Profile apply one coat of Ritver Alkali Resistant Primer or Ritver All Weather Tex Primer and allow drying. Apply one good coat like a plaster and with a trowel and spread the same evenly to the desired pattern.

For Old and Painted surfaces:
In case of surfaces which are painted / or aged and if there is visible dusting, chalking or even friable, ensure that all the loose material is removed by scrapping or metal brush. If the situation is critical it is recommended to do torching of the same and apply a good coat of Ritver Fungicidal wash compound and allow drying. Follow this by a regular coat or two of Ritver Alkali Resistant primer and continue as in the above case with the full system. Exclusions for successful application include perpetually wet surfaces and also large cavities on wood, concrete surfaces.

NB. We can do over it one coat of pearl glaze to give the pearl effect by normal brush or roller.

Adequate ventilation is an ideal situation as it helps in drying and the good application itself. Avoid high humid conditions i.e., >95% when condensation is likely to interfere and also when the surface temperature is at least 3°C above dew point. One can add 5 to 10% of sweet water for ease of application depending on the suitability of application. Application is done with appropriate roller to give the desired texture.

Caution:
a. Over diluting would result in a flat and wrong texture.
b. In case of hot climatic conditions were the substrate could be very hot it is necessary that adequate cooling is done after the primer is applied and before the application of  the texture with good amounts of cold water.

Under dry and cool condition, storage stability can be sound up to 12 months in original sealed containers.

HANDLING
Disposal: As per the guidance and legislations of the local Authority e.g., by controlled landfill. In case of doubt, consult local authority. Do not empty into drains, sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point: Not applicable.

Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream. Other industrial practices are applicable. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapor or spray.

FIRST AID
Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water immediately and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or approved industrial cleaner. DO NOT USE solvent or thinners.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.
Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Obtain immediate medical attention.
