Ritver Therm Aluminum Paints Hear 600 is a high temperature resistant coating based on inorganic binders pigmented with a highly leafing thermally stable aluminum pigment. The product resists intermittent exposure up to 600oC and continuous exposure of 500 oC.
The product can be applied directly on properly prepared metal substrate. It can also be applied over an inorganic zinc coating but the temperature exposure will be limited to 400oC due to the melting point of Zinc.
The product dries by solvent evaporation which facilitates easy handling and transport. Before putting into service, the product needs to be cured at 200oC to 250oC for 30 minutes to 1 hour for best resistance performance.

Substrates: Steel Substrates
Area of Use: Exterior surfaces of: Kilns, furnaces, boilers, manifolds, process vessels, exhaust pipings, vehicle exhausts and all other metals exposed to high temperatures.

All surfaces must be free of dirt, oil, grease, moisture and other foreign matter prior to blast cleaning. Grind off all rough weld and edges. Remove all weld spatters. Blast clean to near white metal as per SSPC SP 10 or ISO 8501-1 SA 2.5. The steel profile after blast cleaning should be in the range of 0.3 to 1 mil in depth with an average of 0.5 mils. Surfaces should be free of grit dust. The paint should be applied as soon as possible after blast cleaning to avoid re rusting or contamination. Spot prime all bare areas as recommended before applying the finish coat.

Always ensure adequate ventilation during paint application for reasons of health and safety and also to facilitate and speed up drying. Avoid high humid conditions i.e., >95% when condensation is likely to interfere and also when the surface temperature is at least 3°C above dew point. Always mix the paint properly to ensure homogenity before application.
1. Dilution: Dilution is not required.
2. Brush : Recommended in areas where spraying is not posible.
3. Roller : Use on large flat surfaces when spraying is not recommended
4. Airless spray: A 30:1 pump is adequate, 0.011 tip orifice will provide the best pattern.
Apply a maximum of 1 mil (25 microns ) thickness per coat allowing the first coat to dry before applying the succeeding coat.
