Universal Stain

A wide range binder free [Concentrated] universal stain formulated from special stain paste mixed in different ratio produce, brilliant, high transparency, uniformity, good light stability and intense hue. Universal stain varies from staining simple products such as: [moldings, turned objects, frames and skirting boards], to cupboard doors, assembled furniture and chairs. Ritver SCXX is a universal stain that considered low VOC and follow the LEED specs if diluted in water when used and applied, therefore it is in use for the LEED required projects along with Ritver sealer and top coat LEED certified.

Concentrated stain with flexibility. If necessary to correct the color tone, it is necessary to reduce with thinner or water.
Area to use: Interior

The substrate must be clean and dry. Surface contamination is to be removed by thoroughly rubbing down in the direction of the wood grain, using a suitable abrasive
paper 100-120 is recommended and dusted off before staining application of [RITVER SCXX] Universal Stain – colors series.

RITVER Universal stains can be applied by hand-held or on-line spray guns, with running spray guns, roller or by immersion. After spray application, the stains can be wiped off with line running brushes.
Depending of the type of application, binding and thinning additives are used. The additives may be water, acetone, nitrocellulose thinners, wetting thinners, and water / acetone mixture. The amount of thinning depends on the colors required, type of application , the kind of material to be stained (material shape and size) the choice of thinners depend on the condition of the work, application, the time available and need to limit the emission of VOC(volatile organic components ) into the air. The VOC limit is less than 275 g/l.

Dilution
RITVER Universal Stain can be diluted with, NC thinner, PU thinner, water & acetone. The dilution varies from 100% to 500%, and it is related to the concentration required of the color on the wood.
NB: It is not recommended to dilute the product with white spirit.

RITVER Universal Stain can be over coated with clear nitrocellulose and Polyurethane products. Polyester based paints can be applied if sealant has been applied.

Available in 1Ltr, 5Ltr.

Store in a cool and well ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight. Maximum 18 months in unopened container, stored in a cool and dry condition at 25°C.
